The Role
Design, configure, code, test, and maintain core functional modules and custom extensions across Oracle Utilities applications (CC&B, C2M, CCS, MDM, SGG). You'll handle both technical development (Java/Groovy/SQL) and daily operational batch monitoring and triage.
What You'll Do:
- Design & develop. Turn business requirements into detailed Functional and Technical Design Documents (FDDs/TDDs). Build custom algorithms, plug-in scripts, BPA and service scripts, UI Maps, Zones, and Portals.
- Run batch operations. Monitor daily and nightly batch runs, execution streams, and queue thresholds. Spot stuck or long-running jobs, review logs, restart streams, and resolve batch data exceptions.
- Configure modules. Configure and support core modules across Rating, Billing, Payments, Credit & Collections, Deposits, Start/Stop, Premise/SA management, and To-Do exception processing.
- Process meter data. Support MDM measurement data loading (IMD), VEE rule execution, Usage Subscription processing, interval data aggregation, and SGG payload processing for smart meters.
- Develop integrations. Build and support REST/SOAP web services, inbound/outbound messages, and middleware touchpoints to enterprise apps (Maximo, GIS, payment gateways, CIS portals).
- Triage L2/L3 incidents. Investigate production incidents in ServiceNow/Jira within SLA, diagnose root cause, write code or SQL fixes, test in SIT/UAT, and prepare CAB change packages.
What You Need:
- Mid-Level 5–7 yrs | Senior-Level 8–12+ yrs of technical and functional experience in Oracle CC&B, C2M, CCS, and MDM
- Mandatory batch processing experience: daily monitoring, job execution, thread management, error log analysis, and optimization
- Strong programming in Java SE, Groovy, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, XPath/XQuery, and OUAF configuration tools
- Hands-on FDD/TDD writing, plus unit testing, SIT, UAT, and hyper-care stabilization support
- Solid grasp of the Meter-to-Cash (M2C) lifecycle and MDM VEE/usage calculation engines
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow
